Hikaton no Jutsu (Light Release Technique)

Light Release is a Kekkei Touta, an advanced version of Kekkei Genkai. The jutsu are created by combining the lightning, wind, and fire natures. This element allows the user to manipulate light, giving them the ability to mold and compact light into solid constructs. The techniques of this nature initially form as a shimmering rainbow hued construct composed of chakra and light. While the typical color of the constructs constantly shifts between every hue, Hikaton users can freely choose the color of their constructs.

Note: This release requires mastery (50%) of the Lightning, Wind, and Fire releases. With that said, Hikaton is only available to ninja of Chuunin rank or higher.


Hikaton: Hibana (Light Release: Glow)

The simplest of the Hikaton techniques, Glow enables the user to create a multitude of small objects crafted from the light around the user. These objects are freely controlled with the user's thoughts as they hang in the air around them glinting as their lines are pronounced as brighter light while the planes are a much duller and translucent brightness.

Note: Up to 5 objects can be created at once and the user may freely control them within 10 meters of their position however they can be fired up to 20 meters away. These constructs are capable of resisting C-rank attacks and can only range in size between 0.0001-1 meter. Multi-part creations, such as bow and arrow, counts each part as a construct, so you could create a bow and 4 arrows.


Hikaton: Kagayaki (Light Release: Shine)

Following Glow's concept, Shine enables the user to construct bigger creations than its predecessor, although with fewer pieces due to the concentration of power required to conjure their size and reinforce their structure. Though the constructs are fewer in number their size is easily compared to a small building or summon.

Note: Requires Glow. Up to 4 objects can be created at once and the user may freely control them within 15 meters of their position however they can be fired up to 25 meters away. These constructs are capable of resisting B-rank attacks and can only range in size between 1.0001-5 meters. Multi-part creations, such as bow and arrow, counts each part as a construct, so you could create a bow and 3 arrows.


Hikaton: Kōki (Light Release: Brilliance)

The grandest most powerful construction technique of the Light Release, Brilliance gathers large amounts of light and wills it into massive creations easily able to cleave, crush, or utterly destroy a target through shear power and size. These constructs can range in shape and size more so than its predecessors, due to their malleable nature and complex creation.

Note: Requires Shine. Up to 3 objects can be created at once and the user may freely control them within 20 meters of their position however they can be fired up to 30 meters away. These constructs are capable of resisting A-rank attacks and can only range in size between 5.0001-10 meters. Multi-part creations, such as bow and arrow, counts each part as a construct, so you could create a bow and 2 arrows.




Hikaton: Sekigaisen Nami (Light Release: Infrared Wave)

Utilizing the different waves of light that comprise it in it's entirety, the user draws from the infrared spectrum to utilize the unique effects that only exist in the realm of light. Infrared Wave enables the user to create a red visor over their eyes that allows them to see heat signatures, this ability, while limited to heat and normal vision lay overs, allows the user to view and track heat signatures in contrast to their real vision creating a real-time display. When Wave Infused into constructs, Infrared Wave gives the construct this same ability allowing others to see through it as well.

Note: The maximum range of both versions is 30 meters.

X-Ray Wave enables the user to create an ice-blue visor over their eyes that allows them to see through structures and soft tissues, this ability, while limited to x-ray and normal vision lay overs, allows the user to view and track hard constructs in contrast to their real vision creating a real-time display. When Wave Infused into constructs, X-Ray Wave gives the construct this same ability allowing others to see through it as well.

Note: The maximum range of both versions is 30 meters.


Hikaton: Shigaisen Nami (Light Release: Ultraviolet Wave)

Utilizing the different waves of light that comprise it in it's entirety, the user draws from the Ultraviolet, or UV, spectrum to utilize the unique effects that only exist in the realm of light. Ultraviolet Wave enables the user to fire a wicked violet beam of intensely radiated and heated light. This beam is capable of reaching considerable distances and cleanly cutting through most things in its path. When Wave Infused into constructs, Ultraviolet Wave turns the weapon into a floating laser while retaining the power of the beam.

Note: Requires both Infrared Wave and X-Ray Wave. The maximum range of both versions is 30 meters while and the penetrative power is equivalent to B-rank.


Hikaton: Ganma Nami(Light Release: Gamma Wave)

Chakra Consumption: Massive, High to sustain
Utilizing the different waves of light that comprise it in it's entirety, the user draws from the gamma spectrum to utilize the unique effects that only exist in the realm of light. However, Gamma Wave is such a virulent form of light that the user cannot directly take in its radiation and must place it within the constructs they have created in order to wield its devastating strength, except with one pertinent drawback, the weapon no longer hits for physical damage and instead passes through their body with no visible harm done. Gamma being the highest form of light manipulation, enables the user to use its unique strength to strike into an enemy making the radiation spread into their body disabling their chakra network as it eats away at their body.

Note: Requires Wave Infusion. For every turn this technique is used, the user must wait an equal number of OOC days before they can use it again. When stricken with a weapon empowered by Gamma Wave, the enemy loses the ability to mold chakra within the afflicted area for 20 days OOC, starting from the heart, any concurrent limbs parts will be unable to mold chakra as well (if shoulder was cut, fingers cant mold).




Hikaton: Kōsen (Light Release: Ray)

Used as a very basic attack for the wielders of the Light Release, Ray allows the user to create a paired set of light constructs on their body. These can range from wings to claws, although the most unique part of the technique is that the created parts function as if they are real but have no weight, allowing flight from wings or a solid tail.

Note: Constructs may not exceed 1 meter in size and last for 5 turns, until broken, or until dispelled.


Hikaton: Shiroto (Light Release: White Noise)

Chakra Consumption: x2 High
Through the extreme manipulation of light, the user can create a wicked burst of light. This burst leaves a still life of the user created from light, while it is virtually indistinguishable from the user it is frozen in place, while the user is hidden by bending light around themselves completely eluding basic sight. Chakra, Infrared, X-ray, and other forms of penetrative vision may still see the user.

Note: the user may only travel within 20 meters of the copy/origin point, this technique lasts a total of 3 turns or until the user uses a technique.


Hikaton: Nami Chūnyū (Light Release: Wave Infusion)

Often considered the next step of Hikaton and Light manipulation, Wave Infusion allows the user to alter their constructs giving them the effects present within the different waves off the light spectrum. These range from tracking heat, seeing through solid objects, searing heat, and even radiation poisoning. However, the shear strength of this ability is reserved to only those who can already manipulate both hard-light and the multiple Waves.

Note: Requires Brilliance and Ultraviolet Wave. Enables the combination of Waves into the creations of Ray, Glow, Shine or Brilliance (both the costs for the Wave and the constructs must be paid).


Hikaton: Sakeru (Light Release: Split)

Chakra Consumption: Half the original technique's cost.
Built off of the concept of light splitting apart when it hits certain surfaces, like water, that causes it to bend, Split is the result of that ideology. Enabling another degree of Light manipulation, Split allows the user to manipulate the constructs which they have created and 'bend' them into new forms or creating additional parts. Many practitioners have used this in a jam to create a quick defense or execution, one in particular was known for using a bo staff that they would create a scythe blade upon one end to block attacks coming from another direction or to impale those unfortunate enough to come close.

Note: Enables the user to manipulate Glow, Shine, or Brilliance and add more to their structure, however they cannot exceed or go below each technique's size restraints.


Hikaton: Kussetsu (Light Release: Refraction)

This ability is only known to those who have completed the Hikaton tree and know every technique within its branches. As master of the light, the user may not create even more constructs than they previously could, easily dominating the battlefield with their deadly arsenal.

Note: Must know every other Hikaton technique. Doubles the amount of constructs created by Glow, Shine, and Brilliance.


Hikaton: Chōshinsei (Light Release: Supernova)

The grandest and most powerful technique within the Light Release, Supernova begins with a lengthy string of seals that charges the user full of Light chakra. Once the seals and charge has completed, the user will be wreathed in a golden, almost god-like, light that encompasses everything without leaving a single shadow to hide. The user will then release the light outwards sending out a powerful wave of brightness and heat expanding into a giant ball comprised of light. The initial blast is capable of leaving 2nd degree sun burns on bare areas of a person's body and 1st degree burns on the covered areas. Often mistaking the 'sun' for being a powerful light with the user at the center as its source, many have fallen for that misconception and ended up blinded then dead, the sun is in actuality a sphere completely comprised of light, no shadow may exist within it and no void can hide those within it from the user.

Note: The sphere generated is capable of spanning 25 meters in every direction from the user and will last for a total of 5 turns before fading leaving the user unable to perform Hikaton for the duration of the thread. Due to the heavy concentration of Light chakra, the user may sense any movement within the orb, while everyone except the user will suffer blindness for the duration of the technique.
