The System

on 11/11/2011, 1:21 pm
Evaluation System

- You may choose any open rank to make your character, but be warned if you can not be worthy of the rank you will be demoted to genin.

- We want people to prosper and become stronger through there rp.  So, even if your rank is lower than you hoped it to be don’t get discouraged. All good things come in time and eventually you will rank up; probably.

-The important thing to remember is just like in the Naruto Universe everyone can not be a kage or jounin, some never even make chuunin. This same principal is applied to the rp universe here, not all of us are great at rp like others. That doesn’t mean you are not important though, everyone plays a part in the sites rp from kage to academy student.

-You can be demoted form a high rank if you continuously perform lowly on mission and consistently lose battles. If your Kage deems you not worth of your rank you CAN be stripped of it and lowered. (Kage must take this up to the admin first.)

- Also your character is not bound to a maximum word count. Meaning if you are genin you can post just as much words as a jouin has to post if you wish.  This is actually smiled upon, the better your post the better our site and its Role Playing, and doing this often may cause your kate to see you fit to be ranked up.

- Remember HARD WORK gets you a lot in life, there is a chance even if you are a genin level rp, if you try really hard and the staff sees this there is a chance you may be giving a chuunin level.  So, try your best every time and don’t slack any.

Ways to Rank up

There are several way your character can be ranked up:

-You may be ranked up by your village kage (by showing a higher level of rp, killing or capturing other ninja, having an outstanding mission record, or if a position needs to be filled)

-When you obtain enough Points via completing missions (obtaining these points will be further detailed)

- A staff member can also bring it in front of a the other staff members, if he/she sees you are fit for a higher rank. Then they would vote on it. You get appraised one must have 80% vote of the staff.

-If you feel you have proved yourself and think you are ready for a new rank you can pm me personally (Mr.Sinister). I will look into it and might bring you in front of the staff.  [note: do not waste my time though, or keep pestering to me about it; if I say no then it‘s no, that’s that]

-There may also be special contest that are held for a member to be ranked up. If you qualify for the contest you may inter it and try to win.

-One very important way to rank up as a genin is the Chuunin Exams.  Be confident and participate because rank here is handed out like candy.

The Special Rank of Academy Student

- This rank is reserved for members new to role playing or Naruto based rp.  If you have rp experience please do not apply for this rank, it is highly frowned upon if you do so. On the flip side though, if you have little to no rp experience then please do apply for this rank. We want to keep the rp here good so if your not ready for genin don’t try to be superman, we all had to start somewhere.

- Also note that you can not become a genin until you graduate the academy. There is no other exceptions to this.  And once you become genin you will remain at that rank for a long time.

- How the academy is ran and what you will have to do to pass it strictly up to the Academy Teacher.  With out his/ her permission you will not rank up.

- Also at this stage you will be tested up general Naruto knowledge as well as rp skills. [ one of the best ways to gain knowledge about Naruto is to watch the anime or read the manga]

Mission/Point System

If you want to rank up, another way to achieve a higher rank is by Role Playing and submitting your completed topics for evaluation, where a Moderator or Administrator will check your writing and give you a grading. You may not ask for someone in particular to evaluate your topic, as all staff members will mark your work following the same rules and guidelines, so your grade and points awarded will not be affected.

For Missions: You will be marked on three areas of your work: Word count, (the average length of your posts) Quality (Spelling, Grammar, techniques used etc) and Creativity. In each area, you will be given up to 5 points; your average score for each area will be taken and then multiplied by the worth of the mission rank, and the result is your total score. The worth of each mission Rank is as follows:

D Rank missions: 1 point
C Rank missions: 2 points
B Rank missions: 3 points
A Rank missions: 4 points
S Rank missions: 5 points

For Social Topics: The rules of grading for these are very similar. You will be marked on the same three areas out of five, and this total will be added up, before being halved, thus giving you your score. This is done because Social topics cannot have a rank like a mission.

Word count marks: This area, like all others, can get you up to five points. The more words you have in your posts, the higher your score in this area is; the criteria for points are as shown:

less than 300 words average: 0 points
300 average: 1 point
500 average: 2 points
650 average: 3 points
800 average: 4 points
1000 average: 5 points

These may be seen as harsh, however this is only one area and if your word count isn't high enough to receive any points, it will not be included in your average count, otherwise you'd have 0 points average. Don't be put down if you get 0 points in this area; it's more for the highly experience Role Players, genin and such will get much more points in the other two areas.

Quality Marks: In this area, the total five points aren't awarded in such a structured way as the word count points. However, if you have numerous spelling mistakes you can expect to have a lower mark than if you had perfect spelling. Use spellcheck to help yourself gain points here.

5 points: Next to no spelling mistakes, perfect, fluid grammar and no words missing. This is awarded when you have perfect, fluent spelling.
4 points: One or two slip ups, but overall very good spelling and good grammar, things like speech marks, commas, full stops, question marks, exclamation marks and semi-colons have been used properly.
3 points: Good spelling and Grammar, you've made the occasional typo and sometimes forgotten pieces of grammar, but you've shown you can use these things in the rightful manner.
2 Points: Your spelling had quite a few mistakes and your grammar could be improved; you've tried to use these things but haven't been all too successful.
1 Point: Both your Spelling and Grammar are flawed, with very common mistakes; all this makes your work very difficult to read.

Creativity Marks: These are probably the hardest to set guidelines for. Your marker will look at things like similes and metaphors, as well as good adjectives, verbs and the like; to gain higher points in this area, try to use unusual words and odd comparisons.

When you have achieved enough points to rank up, simply contact an Administrator informing them of this. Your rank will then be changed, and your character application unlocked so you can make the appropriate changes to it; the points required for each rank up are as follows:

Additional points

Kill Marks: These points are usually harder to obtain than others on the account that most people are too afraid to take part in death matches. Although most won't get any of these, kill point will be added as extra points to the total score if achieved. This however only counts if you kill a character that is a non NPC character.

10 Points: Will be added if one kills a Kage/S-Ranked character. This is the hardest feat to achieve therefore it has the most points. These characters are usually guided by the better RPers of the forum. They WILL keep a minimum 600 word post count while being creative and active.
5 Points: Will be added if one was to achieve in killing a Jounin/A-Rank character. These character are usually RPed by great RPer a little ahead of the chunnin. What separate jounin from chunnin is that Jounin are usually a little more active, therefore are sometimes more creative.
3 Points: Will be add to those that kills of any Chunnin/B-Rank character. There are considered good but not quite great RPers.
1 Point: Will be added to those in success of killing a genin/C-Rank non NPC shinobi. This rank varies in RP skill therefore easiest to be fooled in challenging.
0 Points: For Academy Student/D-Rank shinobi. If you kill on of these then you suck.

Academy student > Genin - must pass the academy test.
Genin > Chunnin - 65 points
Chunin > Jonin - 150 points
Jonin > Sannin - 300 points
Kage - Not achieved by points.

However, even if you do obtain the correct number of points, you will not simply be made into a higher rank. Your village Kage will look at the current number of each rank, decide weather or not your Role Playing skill is up to scratch, before making your character undergo certain tests to see if they are worthy of a higher rank. These tests aren't just for testing your character's ability, but your personal Role Playing skill as well.

Types of Missions

There are four kinds of missions.

1. Personal- This is a mission that you create and perform yourself. The member’s character will receive mission points.

2. Subordinate- This is a mission that someone else has asked you to perform, excepting this mission means you are working for that person. You also gain mission point form these missions.

3. Village Related- These are mission made by the villages Kage. They may only be carried out by members of the village the Kage is from. These mission may be to even assassinate or attack another village. It may be even that you are to kill another ninja from your village. Some of these mission will just be for a lower ranked ninja to have a mission to rp with, but some will have great affect on the village itself. You also gain mission points form these missions.

4.Team Mission- These actually fall under Subordinate and Village Related missions mission. The only thing is they are carried out by a team of ninja. Everyone in these mission will be graded as a team not alone. You will gain mission points.

GATES RULES

[1]  No Keikkei genkai's with the gates at all, that includes the doujutsu such as byakugan, sharingan.

[2] You may only have Fuuinjutsu, Medical, Kenjutsu, and Taijutsu with the gates, All other forms of jutsu are not allowed. Ninjutsu is an exception with gates, its allowed but only with half the effect and all the defects.

[3] You must have approval from admin to get the gates, and then even still it is not promised that you will get the gates. You must show you are worthy with your skills in the art of role playing. Prove you are worthy of the gates and you may get them.

[4] Only One gate user is allowed per village, this keeps and maintains stability and makes it so that we do not wind up with a mass amount of gate users, and barely any other

[5] You must learn the eight gates in IC and either start out as a taijutsu user, or medical ninjutsu user. The gates are not for everyone, so if you think you got what it takes takes to learn the gates then go for it.

[6] All gate are only allowed to be open for the maximum of 5 post after these five post no matter if the user doesn't shut down they will be auto shut upon the power of the admin and forum rules. The strain carried out on these shinobi will last for 2 post bore the shinobi is back normal.

[7] If you are caught breaking any rules you will be stripped of your character and have to start over, so do not abuse the rules. That includes the standard forum rules as well.

[8] Noone I repeat noone is allowed to start their character with the gates already a custom to their character.

The Eight Gates Information

---->    In addition to the tenketsu, the chakra circulatory system houses eight valves responsible for regulating the flow of chakra. The Hachimon or eight gates are located along the spine, the heart and in the ninja's head. It is possible to force the body to open these gates, which allows the ninja to release ten times the usual amount of power. Unfortunately such power comes at a price, as each subsequent gate is opened, the ninja increases the damage to their body and comes closer to death. For this reason gate opening has been deemed Kinjutsu. If all eight gates are opened, the ninja gains power that surpasses the Hokage at the cost of their own life. Also even if the ninja opens fewer gates, if they do not strike a finishing blow against their opponent, they will be severely weakened and very defenseless to a counter attack. It is also unclear whether the ninja has to open all the gates in order, of if they can open a later gate and bypass the previous ones.

[1] Kaimon (Opening Gate)

Releases the brains restraints allowing full power usage of the body's muscles. This is opened to prepare the body to use Omote Renge. This gate is located in the head. Opening this gate with summon a 5% speed & strength boost.

[2] Kyuumon (Rest Gate)

Raises stamina and assists in recovery after being weakened. This gate is located in the head. Opening this gate with summon a 10% speed & strength boost.

[3] Seimon (Life Gate)

Body enters Ura Renge phase, turning their body a shade of red. This gate is located along the spine. Opening this gate with summon a 15% speed & strength boost.

[4] Shoumon (Wound Gate)

Further increases speed and power, usage will begin to tear the body's muscles. This gate is located along the spine. Opening this gate with summon a 20% speed & strength boost. However at this level a sense of strain began to damage the user. This decreases the user speed and strength 10% after closing of the gates.

[5] Tomon (Limit Gate)

Further increases speed and power. This gate is located along the spine. Opening this gate with summon a 25% speed & strength boost. However at this level a sense of strain began to damage the user. This decreases the user speed and strength 15% after closing of the gates.

[6] Keimon (View Gate)

Further increases speed and power, body becomes able to use the Asakujaku technique. This gate is located along the spine. Opening this gate with summon a 30% speed & strength boost. However at this level a sense of strain began to damage the user. This decreases the user speed and strength 20% after closing of the gates.

[7] Kyoumon (Wonder Gate)

Further increases speed and power, body becomes able to use the Hirutora technique. After opening Kyoumon, blue sweat will begin to pour from the user's body. It then evaporate due to their own heat energy, causing a blue-green aura to appear around their body. This gate is located along the spine. Opening this gate with summon a 50% speed & strength boost. However at this level a sense of strain began to damage the user. This decreases the user speed and strength 25% after closing of the gates.

[8] Shimon (Death Gate)

Further increases speed and power, body attains Hokage-level power at the cost of their own life. This gate is located at the heart. This means if you use the eighth gate on someone, that person will probably die because the speed and strength of this would kill them with one or two hits, and it will then kill the user of the eighth gate. Opening this gate with summon a 75% speed & strength boost. However at this level a sense of strain began to damage the user. This decreases the user speed and strength 30% after closing of the gates for 3 post. After the three post delay the user dies.
